Engineering pc software
Windows companion software for field instruments (VDS32, K-10)
Compact Windows desktop pairing for our portable field instruments: serial download, tabular and chart views, daily diagrams, .vds archive export.
What it is
For each portable instrument we build the matching Windows desktop software so the field engineer has one interface from probe to report. VDS32 (Visionary Design System) pairs with the K-10 power analyser: download the 24-hour recording over RS-232 (DB9), render daily diagrams of current, phase voltage, active/reactive/apparent power, frequency, and energy, and write the .vds archive to disk. Open Port, Print All Options, Save Data, Exit are the four controls; the simple workflow keeps the field engineer fast.
What we built
- Open Port / Save Data / Print All / Exit workflow
- Tabular view of three-phase Ir / Is / It and Ur / Us / Ut
- Daily diagrams: current (3 phases), phase voltage (3 phases), active / reactive / apparent power, frequency, electrical energy
- Per-day .vds archive on disk
- Bundled deployment alongside the K-10 instrument
Technologies
- Microsoft Windows desktop
- RS-232 (DB9) over COM port
- .vds archive format (e.g. R190599.vds)
- Tabular + chart visualisation
Deliverables
- VDS32 Windows installer
- Per-instrument calibration report archived against unit serial number
