Engineering
Systems we have built and shipped
Firmware, communications hardware, and Windows companion software designed in-house alongside the SMT line. Each case study below is real shipping work: the platform we built, the technology we own, and how it pairs with the products in our portfolio. Talk to us about porting any of these to a current standard or platform.
Firmware
MCU firmware we write and own on the products we build: standards-compliant communication stacks, calibration engines, and tariff calendars.
PC software
Windows desktop companions paired with the meters and instruments we manufacture: head-end, instrument readout, and report tools.
Smart-grid head-end software (SuperNet)
Windows desktop head-end that organises the electronic-meter fleet into a county / area / customer hierarchy, runs commands per meter or per group, and schedules recurring tasks via DLC modem or optical head.
- Microsoft Windows desktop
- DLC modem (COM port, 300-9600 bit/s, n,8,1) or optical head (same protocol stack)
- County / Area / Customer (meter serial) hierarchy
Windows companion software for field instruments (VDS32, K-10)
Compact Windows desktop pairing for our portable field instruments: serial download, tabular and chart views, daily diagrams, .vds archive export.
- Microsoft Windows desktop
- RS-232 (DB9) over COM port
- .vds archive format (e.g. R190599.vds)
Smart-meter tariff-programming software
Windows desktop for programming the four-tariff calendar engine of the M96 / T96 SMART meter family: fifteen day definitions, fifteen week definitions, fifteen season definitions, eight memory profiles. Visual editor with weekday and season heat-map view.
- IEC 62056-21 Mode C optical link to the meter
- Visual tariff editor: 24-hour day timeline with four colour bands (T1-T4)
- Week composer (Mon-Sun, day-definition assignment per slot)
Energetika-VDS Data Logger 1.0 PC software
Windows desktop pairing for our TLU 1.0 temperature logger: download the IEC 62056 Mode C log over the IR port, view as table or chart, export to Microsoft Excel.
- IEC 62056 Mode C optical link (IR port on the TLU 1.0)
- Selectable Mode A / B / C / D for third-party loggers
- Tabular + chart view with MIN/MAX overlay
Communications
Custom communication hardware and firmware: power-line carrier, wireless modems, optical IEC ports.
System design
Multi-device systems we built whole: central + cellular + per-pole modems, or controller + lamps + PC software.
Cellular-managed street lighting platform (SuperNet_Light)
Head-end + GSM/SMS + per-pole wireless modem architecture for managing municipal street lights individually: ON/OFF, 0-100 % dim, sun-calendar scheduling, energy log.
- GSM/SMS uplink
- Custom BHV wireless modem PHY
- Astronomical sun calendar (lat/lon, daylight saving)
RGB architectural lighting orchestration (C-300 + Controller)
Standalone or PC-controlled RGB lighting system: hardware controller drives up to 40 lamps; C-300 Windows software orchestrates 16 M colours, transitions, strobe, and microphone-driven light shows across multiple controllers.
- Standalone RGB controller (220 V 50 Hz, 4 × USB, RS-232, Light-Show port, Master/Slave port)
- PC software over RGB-232-USB adapter
- 16 000 000 colours, automatic or manual transitions
