Energetika-VDS TLU 1.0 Temperature Logging Unit

IEC 62056 Mode C temperature data logger with OBIS coding, 9356-record memory, programmable 1-60 min interval, 2-year battery-backed RTC, and PC support software.

Overview

TLU 1.0 is a temperature logging unit built around an external -40 to +125 °C probe and a fully IEC 62056 Mode C compliant optical interface. Every reading carries an OBIS code, so any standards-compliant Hand-Held Unit or our Energetika-VDS Data Logger 1.0 PC software can pull data from the unit without proprietary glue. Standard memory holds 9356 records (6.5 days at 1-minute sampling, 65 days at 10 minutes); the extended-memory factory option doubles capacity to 18 712. Designed and built on our own line, with 2-year backup retention of the RTC and accumulation counter.

How it is used

Cold-chain, pharma cold storage, food retail, HVAC commissioning, and any application that requires standards-compliant temperature logging readable by any IEC 62056-2/HHU or PC. OBIS-coded readings let downstream BMS / SCADA integrate the log without proprietary translation.

How we build it

Built on our DDM Novastar line. SPR-45 prints SAC305 paste through a 120 µm stencil. LS60 places the metering controller, RTC crystal, lithium backup cell holder, character LCD glass connector, IR phototransistor and LED, and supply components under vision check. GF 120HC reflows at 245 °C. AOI on every joint. Probe wired as a separate harness with quick-connect.

Assembled on our in-house Novastar SMT line: SPR-45, LS60, GF-120HT.

Optical inspection and test

AOI inspects every board: controller IC pitch, RTC crystal alignment, LCD ZIF seating, IR LED orientation, and probe connector. Functional test at a partner test house: probe accuracy against a reference thermometer at three points across the range (-40, 25, +125 °C), optical readout verified against an IEC 62056 Mode C reference reader, log-interval and accumulation-counter behaviour verified across a power cycle.
